The economic catastrophe and personal hardships mounted up by the Covid-19 lockdown are now common knowledge, yet, there appears to be a silver lining forming that hasn’t been pushed into the forefront of discussion.
It seems that an ever increasing number of Americans are growing aware of government overreach and the severity of the repercussions.
Aside from the various protests across the country, there has been noticeable amounts of internet traffic geared towards videos that criticize the heavy handed approaches taken by the government and some prominent figures involved with those approaches.
Some key examples include a handful interviews conducted by standout entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David. The interviews cover the corruption of Dr. Fauci and the ulterior motives underlying the Covid-19 crisis. Each video has surpassed a million views in less than a week, while a more recent interview with Robert Kennedy Jr. (who criticized vaccines and Big Pharma) is making progress in that direction.
Pro-free-speech media company London Real recently got over 1 million people to live stream a conversation featuring the recently censored conspiracy theorist David Icke (recording of the livestream can be found here). The topics covered in the conversation were in line with those of the Bet-David interviews.
The video of two California doctors who have worked on the “front lines” of the epidemic, collected data, and determined the lockdown to be unjustified has been viewed millions of times, despite being removed from YouTube’s platform.
While the covid-19 precautions have resulted in various setbacks, those setbacks may have spurred consciousness of government expansion and the desire to hear alternative perspectives. It will be interesting to see how these developments effect the ideological and political landscape in the time to come.
